Like it or not, Berlusconi IS probably the greatest political success after de Gaulle in a post WWII western nation. In a few months he banded a party from nowhere based on nothing and it became the biggest party. How? The campaign was basically tailored to the needs of a retarded middle schooler, with crappy songs and Franklin Delanus kind of crappy slogans, but it worked.
