I took an anthropology course about Indian society a generation ago. I'm not sure why it wasn't sociology. I discovered what the whole problem was. It was people that looked like me. It had nothing to do with moving an illiterate group of hunter gatherers who spoke little or no English from essentially the stone age to the space age in a couple generations. It was about that time I wrote the whole field off as non-academic flim-flam. Churchill was living in a fantasy world of a single solution for all problems, blame whitey, but the odometer on that miled out at 9-11.
