Accreditation "Wholly Inadequate" Quality Measure
#2
Quote:Accreditation has been shown over and over again to be wholly inadequate as an indicator of minimal quality.

If not an indicator of that, then what? I keep hearing Edwin Starr singing "Absolutely nothin'!!"

Has California been inundated with lawsuits and complaints from students getting ripped off left and right by "unaccredited, for-profits"? No. In fact, as Trace Urban was quoted in the article, "they're more inclined to be even more careful during this period" of lack of regulation.? So if lack of regulation results in greater caution from those in the suspect class, does more regulation result in less caution? Sounds like things actually improve for students the less the government puts its greasy thumb in your soup.
