I've always wondered whether the best and brightest who go on to college woudn't have excelled regardless of education. Social skills and the perception of looking competent are probably as important as actual education.
The average education of most of the millionaires I've known ranges from 8 to 12 years. They acquired a basic skill, found a niche, worked very hard, and caught a few breaks.
Education will always be a must in the professions but I don't think it means much in the real world.
