Support HR 1475
#1
Know any non-violent first-time offenders confined to government prison camps, perhaps as the result of trumped up charges and judges with conflicts of interest?  (And I think you do...)

Contact US Representative Danny K. Davis (D-IL) at 202-225-5641 and let him know that you support HR 1475, formally known as the "Federal Prison Work Incentive Act of 2009," also known as the "Good Time Bill."

Rep. Davis is sponsoring this bill, which will allow for a reduced period of incarceration for first time, non-violent offenders.  The bill would reduce the sentences of people in federal prisons by increasing the "good time" credit they could receive and save US taxpayers more than 2 billion dollars per year.

You also can email your own representative, using this link.  Be sure to pass this info on to friends and family as well, asking for their support for HR 1475.

Ordinarily we like to see violent convicts stuck so far back in prison they have to pump air in to them (just like Bo Diddley said).  But for non-violent political prisoners whose only crime was daring to compete with the wealthy, entrenched higher education cartel, we think the Al Capone treatment is a bit much.  Let your voice be heard.
