I honestly wasn't trying to create a shitstorm. Dr. Gollin was simply mistaken.
I knowingly enrolled in an unaccredited school and it's not like I didn't do my research and know of its potential shortcomings, etc. I am absolutely certain there are many people in my position (all FTU alumni for starters) and I wanted to come out and publicly talk about my success so that people will realize there is hope. For years there have been generic posts about this school says they "will" accept unaccredited degree holders and this one says they "will not". I, for one, care little about anecdotal evidence. I wanted to find out for myself.
Again, I knew FTU was unaccredited when I enrolled. I was confident it was simply a good unaccredited school (it was by the way) where I could save thousands of dollars. I took a gamble and it paid off. I am absolutely enjoying my time at Liberty. Since I'm a military veteran LU waived the $150.00 per semester technology fee for the duration of the program and capped my tuition at $250.00 per credit hour (the current tuition assitance cap for active duty military members).
As I said on DD a few RA schools turned me away. Liberty did not. They have a great system in place for veterans and I couldn't be happier about the whole thing. I'm enjoying my time and I'm learning a lot. What more could one want from a college experience?
