Well, I left -while shaking my head in disbelief - the "restricted to students forum" of a well-know, accredited (no Capella/Phoenix things ) online university.
Believe it or not, for criticizing (mildly, with many caveats ) some aspects of the fee structure I found unfair to the category I belong to, I was rounded up and attacked -and those who supported my view had to leave - much like it'd happen on "fifteen years old Joe's tripod page forum".
They made bogus counterarguments documenting their ignorance making absurd assumptions about exchange rates and a few enlightened geniuses even asked me why would i care to get the services I had paid for.
One idiot had 20 posts but 10 were spent attacking me like a drunk teenager would do with decades old Freddie Blassie quotes, and in the end I was the big bad wolf.
I got even threatened by those in charge ( the usual self-important zeroes rolling on the gravy train of public money ).
Now while that might happen on "little Jimmy's tripod forum", THIS is a venture a few individuals (ab)use as their own sandbox and you ought to see how nervous they become when people ask where does money go.
I think student unions are a waste of time, but if at B&M universities they do buy booze & throw parties now & then , what about an online university?!
Relax folks...the lot is huuge (n dollar paid per student per course ) and you bet they'll find a way not to let it go to waste.
I think one of the last councils disbanded after financial mismanagement was documented...

Those are no better places than degreeinfo, but at least degreeinfo is free.
