I'm actually more annoyed that they scheduled the holiday in January (MLK's birthday) rather than in late April or early May (they could commemorate a protest or a march, or a bill being signed) where it may at least be enjoyable for many to have a day off. I would like to see them change it to the last Friday in April or the first Friday in May. This way it makes it a 3-day weekend beginning on Friday, an unusual practice to honor an unusual type of hero.
