One may be surprised to find out that the allegedly impressive
cathedral of academic -and para-academic- publishing rests on foundations made of sand: the trading of mafioso favors and tokens of deference between the usual mutual admiration society of lefties, freemasons, minorities and other advocates of the greater good.Almost nobody reads that crud anyways: it's just as good as one more line on one's resume.
And who gets into the circuit anyways? You bet: the chap
whose ideas, sexual orientation, skin color or party card the publisher likes ...that's what the free press is all about, right?
