Exactly right. Back in the olden days before the internet that contact info was a substantial value. Now you can get the same thing in seconds with a google search or two. Klempner actually has a pretty good sense of humor, which helps when you are essentially just turning a couple of laundry lists into a book. But nobody was buying his little books for the gags.

Much like the used car salesman, buyer beware when dealing with sharks. They want your money, and In Golly's case your vote. I would think they deserve neither.
Right you are, jamesc1. Back when higher ed represented what then was more-or-less mainstream thought, an anarcho-socialist Alinskyite like Klempner was on the outside looking in. That's why he had to settle for "alternate" or "non-traditional" venues to ply his trade. Now that higher ed has become the spearhead for the socialist sewer rat brigade, he's switched sides and wants to marginalize free market capitalists, individualists, Christians, and anybody else he doesn't like.
A schlump like Gollin wants to join the army after the war already has been fought. He's a "me too" type, with the emphasis on "me." He hates the same people Klempner hates because they represent every quality he lacks--self-reliance, self-determination, and independence, for starters. Gollin is like an Amway distributor for bullshit. He wants to be the guy at the top of the pyramid, but he still needs 15 other people to do the actual selling.
