Quinn is the type of person feared most in the DD/DI Gulag. He was an unusually competent academically oriented guy who got most of his education from alternative sources.
He was a singular mouse getting crapped on by the elephants at the abusive DD/DI sites. He thought he could be their friends but they feared him too much.
American Coastline U/Summit U out of Louisiana produced some very talented people with PhDs but who so badly wanted to be liked that they buried their faces in DI/DD butts Borat-like hoping for acceptance. Examples would be Peter, Jimmy, and Quinn. I still like all three of them.
I think Quinn finally found a new and less stressful hobby.
