A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Martin Eisenstadt - 02-05-2009 DETC announced that Anaheim University is one of four newly-accredited schools. Quote:Four Institutions Gain Accreditationhttp://www.detc.org/downloads/3-report_from_accred_Comm.pdf Klempner has been in grudge mode against Anaheim honcho Anthony Al-Jamie for literally decades: Quote:John Bearhttp://groups.google.com/group/alt.education.distance/browse_thread/thread/92b9cb985e770583 Time to work it out of your system, Klempner. Al-Jamie has achieved something you never could: successfully operating a legit, accredited, respected university. ![]() Anthony Al-Jamie gloats as Bear agonizes over another ignominious defeat. RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Don Dresden - 02-05-2009 Klempner Wrote:Al-Jamie somehow secured the Heriot-Watt MBA agency for Japan. After the university heard from people who answered a Heriot-Watt ad but were recruited by Newport Asia Pacific, they apparently decided not to renew his contract. Klempner would like us to believe he is some sort of consumer protection advocate. In reality he is a Klempner protection advocate. He "researches" his competitors (i.e., stalks them and their families) and then tries to run them out of business. If he can't get law enforcement to do his bidding he has an abundant supply of clones, shills, lackies, and perverts to harass, annoy and threaten them. He should have changed his name to Corleone instead of Bear. RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Geoff Vankirk - 02-21-2009 How old is Bear? He obtained his PhD about 40 years ago. Was he ever a tenured professor anywhere? What was his PhD in? RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Fort Bragg - 02-21-2009 Geoff Vankirk Wrote:How old is Bear? He obtained his PhD about 40 years ago. Tenured prof - nope - he did run a couple degreemills - he says he did it for laughs and gave the money to charity - that is funny PhD - communications - it's not like a real degree RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Albert Hidel - 02-21-2009 Geoff Vankirk Wrote:How old is Bear? He was born in 1938, so that would make him about 71. Although he doesn't look a day over 80. Give Klempner some credit. Somehow he managed to write his dissertation all by himself, and didn't need 15 friends to do the heavy lifting for him. RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Dickie Billericay - 01-22-2010 Another ball burner for Klempner. California Southern University (nee SCUPS) is now DETC accredited. Way back in 1997 Klempner began publicizing the dark side of SCUPS, Hecht's very minor league farm team for NCU: Klempner Wrote:Last week's Chronicle of Higher Education reported that the government of Thailand identified SCUPS as "a diploma mill" (their words, not mine) and banned them from operating there.http://groups.google.com/group/alt.education.distance/browse_thread/thread/300809befc610e52/e53705af7adcf216?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=scups+thailand There seems to be a pattern developing here. Everything Klempner derides, directly or indirectly, as a mill winds up accredited. Everything Klempner owns or hails as "a good choice" goes down the dumper. If you're going to gamble on an unaccredited degree, the smart strategy seems to be to fade Klempner. They fooled DETC, but can they fool you? Quote:BOARD OF DIRECTORShttp://www.calsouthern.edu/Common/File.aspx?id=1689 page 80 RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - bigfoot - 05-01-2012 I think Bear/Klempner is green with envy. All the schools he formerly used as his "personal whipping post", along with that dolt Contreras...have all either become DETC accredited, Regionally Accredited or State Approved. Sweeeeeeeet. Funny, all Bear/Klempner's schools were shut down by court order, or were bogus entities to begin with e.g., Millard Fillmore U. and Columbia Pacific (ROTFLMAO!)... RE: A Kick in the Shorts for Klempner - Martin Eisenstadt - 05-10-2026 After several years of show cause orders and skirmishing, Anaheim University is now officially off show cause. https://www.deac.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-5-5-Report-from-the-Accrediting-Commission.pdf Quote: Obviously, as with most things, the future is uncertain and the end is always near. But the fact that AU survived this process at all is meaningful. DEAC has shown little reluctance to boot institutions when problems were not corrected. So emerging from show cause is genuinely better than many expected a year ago. |
