Looks very much as though 'the gang' have also 'got-at' Degreeboard! I suppose Jamesville will be next in line.

DegreeBoard is a nice forum, but it didn't toe the party line and now appears to have taken a major league hit. Perhaps, as here, Bear and Douglas, and those of like spirit, didn't want to see some of those posts staying round that showed them to have feet of clay and itchy billfolds. A man with his eye on the mirror doesn't want to see the wrinkles and gray hair, he wants the illusion. If his illusion has to come at the cost of another's reality too bad. I expect that a hacker has ripped open there and here in order to silence those nasty old revealing posts that tell the truth to the world.

It seems likely that Degreeboard is now gone for good. It was a useful tool in showing the agendas of DI/DD. Many others have fallen by the wayside in the struggle against the gang, it seems to be one more.

I suspect Robert has lost interest. Degreeboard was my favorite site for distance education.
He bought me a beer once and we had a nice chat about all the BS of distance education forums.
There used to be such a nice group of people who didn't buy into the Gus/Chip/current Bear/Douglas model. We bought the old Bear model, created before he became a prick. Innovation in education was a good thing.
Robert, here's a virtual kick in the ass for bailing out.
It's a crime that the Chip/Gus/and/or friends crowd gets the final say. We've still got DLTUTH.

It certainly seems that JB, RCD, Puffman, G-G, Insainz, Hayden, Levitate, plus a couple of others, have completely taken over Degreediscussion. Most of these are also back posting at Degreeofporn, and there is no doubt that these are the same people that stuffed Degreeboard.

It now seems that JB and his gang have also taken over DegreeBoard and I've just deleted DegreeBoard from my favourites list - and I won't go there again unless the philosophy changes. Obviously the ringleaders at DegreeBoard have already forgotten who their enemy is and who their friends are. Didn't DegreeBoard almost totally disappear through the activities of JB, G-G, GS, RCD, Puffman, et al? Distance Learning is all about the presentation of factual information, researching factual information, and education - something JB and his mates know little about.

People are too willing to let Bear and his Gang have their say and too unwilling to allow others to point out where they are lying and especially misrepresenting their past actrions. It does make a difference whether something is true or just something being said. John Bear edited the Wikipedia-Greenwich dscription to call himself a "World Famous Education Author."
Now how many normal people do that sort of thing? It is important for people to know that it wasn't someone else saying it, it was Bear himself. He was hyping himself as great, and he isn't.
Can you imagine George Washington or Robert E. Lee saying:
I am a "World Famous General."
The man, Bear, wanted to be seen as more than he really is and wanted to make it seem as if an outsider had said it.
I deleted DB myself, I don't need the hassle of more boards anyway. It will leave more time for other more gainful and fun things.

I've noticed several people seem to forget the ones who supported their positions and views, when those positions were very unpopular at the older sites. Several have moved to DD or DI and try to live with the devil. They do this by apologizing and kissing a**. All I can say is this. If they told the truth about the schools they used and their past actions, there is no reason to now go to DD / DI and grovel before the very people who were bashing them a few years ago. I have never seen Janko, Bear, Douglas apologize for the things they did to the "new-current" suck-ups. It does appear you can beat a slave enough that he will apologize and change points of view. So be it. I have no need of apologizing to people who used the very type of schools they now damn me for having been involved with. They made damn good money selling degrees from the very schools they now raise hell about.
If Greenwich-L.I.A.R.-Millard Fillmore-I.I.A.S.-Fairfax-MIGS-VIU-CPU.....were good enough for Bear and Douglas, then our choices are good enough for us.
