I read the thread and Levicoff, despite clearly having made a statement about the doctoral admissions process that was out of the norm, tried to quibble his way out by pointing out his non-traditional background (in more ways than one).
* NOTE TO UNCLE JANKO: Get rid of your dial-up internet connection. I'm sure your ISP has a reasonably priced DSL package.
