My opinion is he could, like that guy who surveyed the presence of 70 immigrants. It isn't illegal...it is a short-cut. There are surveys AND surveys...you did not survey say the marriage records of an entire county during 2 centuries...did you?
If you notice, I said nothing about surveys in general.
This is why I merged the two--same argument. But whether it's coming from one or two directions (hard to tell), it is false. There are many types of surveys and mine certainly was an appropriate method in order to test my hypotheses. That you have a different opinion is fine, but you're not backing it up with any authority. You cite neither your own qualifications to make such an assessment, nor authoritative sources that support it.

There is no Oxford Journal of Taken Shortcuts to refer to.
What's a shortcut to me is platinum work for another, right?
My only point here is to show that you can use the same arguments as owners of dodgy degrees do, when it suits your purpose.
Nothing to be ashamed of...read Schopenhauer's ART OF CONTROVERSY...it's all in there...

I have so far studied with more DL schools than you can ever dream of...at least 6 in 3 different countries, all accredited.

Okay, but I remember you calling me a LIAR some years ago when I stated that I'd had over 30-years experience in DL education. Well that DL experience now covers 42-years, as I am still employed as a Adjunct Tutor for the southern hemisphere's largest DL establishment.

1 I didn't say Bear could theoretically not evaluate a thesis per se: he has a legitimate doctorate, but he has no traditional academic experience.
2 Dooglearse could try to counter the point saying Bear did run schools that were 'legitimate' when he was there, and went mill after his departure. Very thin point. Many owners of milled degrees say the same thing.
