Did you ever believe that military university gimmick? I didn't. That's a marketing angle to fool suckers. Much as we want to berate socialist inteferences, these for-profits are just the worst welfare hogs. They want to pose as John Wayne riding the horse of free market in town, but are just leeches on the nanny state's back.
When I hear "FREE MARKET" mentioned by private schools while they are busy sucking at the tit of public funds I get very concerned. UOP is one of the most over hyped of the private schools and it is very high. These creations are what Bear and company would have us believe are at the front of DL education. They obviously make a lot of money but that is of interest to the owners, not something of great interest to students.
Are tax payers getting what they pay for? Are students best served by these private schools milking the system? I think not. And they tell us the unaccredited schools were so horrible. At least the schools felt obligated to work with the students to provide part of what "THEY" were looking for. UOP is nothing more than a high priced milking machine.
Let UOP operate in the free market minus public funding and lets see if they can survive.

To be fair, I contacted AMU in the distant past. I probably mentioned it here.
At the time they had what looked like an interesting offer and they were...good enough for that purpose, though somewhat on the expensive side of the DE/DL spectrum.
Their kind of supercilious attitude and sky-high requirements dissuaded me and am i glad i did give up.
