Time ago there was a DETC university claiming they had a scheme allowing one to get FREE education, as long as s-he filled some questionnaires, or registered with some sponsor. Their middlemen used to be all over these DE sites time ago.
Then..."you came too late, you left too soon, just like the ring around the moon", gone.
BYU now offers "individual courses" you can purchase on-line! Just viewed a webpage for the "History of Alaska" course which sells for 132 dollars and is worth half a semester credit. Bear used to claim that schools that "sold" individual courses over the internet for a flat fee...were a "diploma mill"...chickens come home to roost yet again on Bear/Klempner....when an RA school of the caliber of BYU does it...it's great, super, outstanding, A-O.K.!...when a state approved school does it...it becomes fraud, diploma mill activity and so forth...this is now becoming the wave of the future...in the old days they sent you courses in the mail...correspondence course work...now, you just "buy it" off the internet You can even get a high school diploma from the likes of "Texas Tech University". With a high school diploma from TTU , you are now an alumni of this outstanding university and can call yourself a "red raider"....Ain't life grand!
