Jack Wrote:Once upon a time I stumbled upon an internet site where a guy was claiming a medical degree (MD) from a well known degree mill and I sent off an email to someone outing him. At the time I felt it was the right thing to do because it seemed clear that he was acting as a Physician without the proper training. I'm not now prepared to say that I was wrong. However, I do not surf the web looking for St Regis grads (for example) and sending letters to their employers. I may have a strong opinion but mostly I have a "live and let live" attitude in such matters.
I did something similar once. I noticed that a person listed as faculty for a school near me claimed a doctorate from a well known degree mill. I contacted the school and told them, and they responded saying they'd take swift action. Before long that person's name was gone from their faculty list. At first I congratulated myself for a job well done, having blown the whistle for truth, justice, and the American way. But in time I came to regret having involved myself in something that was none of my business. What if that person was actually an excellent instructor? What if there were some extenuating circumstance of which I was unaware? And I was going to get in someone else's business, why not contact the person and ask them about the situation rather than contact someone else about it?

Anyway, needless to say it's something I didn't and wouldn't repeat. Things may seem black and white, but without actually being in the situation, who knows what unknown factors there may be? Better to mind one's own business.

Is Steve (a/k/a Stalkin Steve) now admitting that he did "out" someone (probably Quinn Tyler Jackson) teaching with an unaccredited doctorate several years ago, an action he later came to regret and wouldn't repeat? If so, we may have to put to rest the sobriquet "Stalkin Steve."

I'd be very surprised if these truly evil people ever change their ways. It continues to amaze me that the real degree mills never rate a mention amongst these people:

Most of these have been around for many years - possibly back to the period when JB ran LIAR, etc., etc., etc., and one has to wonder if he and his mates are involved with these operations?

Remember...
when Joe Blobb and anyone he likes take something without paying for it, they are borrowing it...when someone they dislike does it, he's a f-cking thief...
When the country Joe Blobb likes overpowers another, it's in order to keep peace and eventual victims are unfortunate, accidental collateral damage...if the perpetrator is a country Joe hates, it's called invasion and victims perished in a deliberate blood bath.

Curiously, no one seems to worry about the students who's careers may be damaged by "teachers" such as Quinn touting fake degrees - and he's got as many fake degrees as fake titles of almost hilarious proportions.

Normally I'd care less what these fools do so long as no one gets hurt but I let Quinn Tyler Jackson and his better-at-hiding-than-Quinn partner rip me off for over $USD 10,000 with their fake company www.thothic.com (Of which Quinn is self proclaimed "Chief Scientist"...of exactly one employee.) Essentially, its my fault for losing good money by doing "trust" business with those who appeared worthy of trust but are not.

This is one of those "Is the glass half-full or half-empty?" situations. Yeah, it sucks to have been conned out of 10 grand by some fraud like Quinn Tyler Jackson, especially since you could have avoided doing business with him by simply googling his name and seeing the extensive commentary provided by Neilist.

On the other hand, at least you weren't involved in a sexual relationship with QTJ. Reportedly a number of women have suffered both financial and psychological scars as a result of having had a complete lapse of judgment and fallen for Quinn's bullshit. I don't know if he's a sodomite but I wouldn't put it past him. Many of his online associates are homos or at least gay friendly types, so it's not completely out of the question. Look at it this way, while you're out 10K, at least you didn't lose your self respect by getting boned in the ass by the likes of Quinn Tyler Jackson! Big Grin

I wouldn't revert to insults and could care less about Quinn's personal morals (or lack of) - its more intended to warn people (IMO) that may be caught up in dealing with these frauds. The www.thothic.com website is essentially defunct, as is the company after they ripped off a few people, but the wayback machine caught most of it.
