CCNH Applies for DETC
As if Warnborough becoming accredited wasn't enough, another serious kick in the shorts for the clones is on the horizon. Alabama-based Clayton College of Natural Health, another of the clones' favorite whipping boys, is on the road to accreditation. This from the 4-30-2009 CCNH student newsletter:
Quote:As you read in the recent Holistic Times newsletter, we are in the application process for accreditation with an accrediting agency that is recognized by the United States Department of Education. We are not allowed to provide more specific information about this because the agency with which we are applying has rules that prevent us from doing so until the accreditation process is complete. DETC is the only accreditation agency that prohibits applicants from publicizing their application, so it doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure where CCNH is applying. CCNH long has been a legit but unaccredited operation, and for those of us who appreciate independent, non-traditional education it will be nice to see them get official recognition of that fact. |

You are right, this is indeed another interesting development. The clones are oddly silent in public about it. I wonder what cowardly attacks they are launching behind the scenes? It appears CCNH has changed their curriculum, no doubt to comply with DETC doctoral requirements. All the PhD's and ND's are gone, while a new EdD is being introduced. Here is how they described in the current issue of Holistic Times, at pages 14-15: Quote:Along with the decision to seek accreditation we learned that the college would no longer be able to offer the doctor of naturopathy degree or the doctor of natural health. We are confident that the master’s programs will meet the needs of new students interested in learning about and putting into practice the rich tradition and modalities of traditional naturopathy and the foundations and cutting edge principles of holistic nutrition. |

The fat lady hasn't sung on this yet, but I'm looking forward to DETC giving Klempner another kick in the matzohs. |

RE: CCNH Applies for DETC
Haven't you read the program? To justify crapping on Clayton they will crap all over DETC for accrediting them. Homeless Gus, Tailpipe Chip, and friends will never allow themselves to be wrong.

Fort Bragg Wrote:Haven't you read the program? To justify crapping on Clayton they will crap all over DETC for accrediting them. Homeless Gus, Tailpipe Chip, and friends will never allow themselves to be wrong. As we saw when CCU was accredited, the clone party line then was that they had always been behind CCU, that they had devined in their infinite wisdom that CCU really was a good program and worthy of accreditation (notwithstanding that only weeks earlier they had been behind the Collins senate circus/inquisition. It's the old Animal Farm bleating over there. Today it's "four legs good, two legs bad," tomorrow it's "four legs good, two legs better." Quote:Do not imagine, comrades, that leadership is a pleasure. On the contrary, it is a deep and heavy responsibility. No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be? Yes, the clones know what's best for us, don't they? If they say Lloyd Clayton is bad, he must be bad. If Lloyd Clayton becomes accredited it must be because he has become good. What other explanation could there be? |

RE: CCNH Applies for DETC
Thumbs up to 4Knee Kate, who had this story back in May of 2009. The clones are just now discovering the "news."
Now it's official: http://www.detc.org/new_applicants.html |

That might be us.http://www.degreediscussion.com/forums/v...269#p55386 How can this be counter-acted, except by open and forthright support? All you "outsiders," let DETC know you support CCNH, Trinity Newburgh, and every other institution the clones have dumped on over the years. |
