We haven't seen Johann in a few weeks. I hope that he isn't sulking about getting called out for not taking a stand on the online.degree.net forum counter issue. It really wasn't that big of a deal and certainly not significant enough to go into exile over.

Johann is still AWOL and that's a shame. Sure, he can be kind of a dick at times but overall he is a big plus for that board. I hope that he returns to at least post that he's okay and didn't have a Mark Israel encounter with a truck or something equally as unfortunate.
If he wants me to say "I'm sorry" then I will, ... just for you, Johann!

And he quotes Janko the Impaler. They do share the same first name. Hold on - no NO NO!!

The internet is a bizarre place...
he seemed so eager to contribute...
He may have better things to do, though...
Maybe he found other websites.
Maybe he didn't like the attention this site was bringing him.
Anyways I knew a poster who once announced he'd quit forums in the field (not this one) for this&that reason.
Surprisingly, I found that person later on different forums and with a different alias still milling posts by the hundreds.

Never understood the need of these buffoons to announce their departures, like they were the Texas Eagle pulling out of the station. Just leave, for chrissakes.

The poster wouldn't happen to be posting in the math forums by any chance?
