I posted a statement in this thread:

This statement has been viewed as: "Chuck Conner-ish".
What is the definition of a "Chuck Conner-ish" statement/behavior?

Don't worry about it. he's an asshole.
I think he might be talking about this but I don't know what characteristics he would be trying to infer. Maybe it should be Chuck Connorsish. Chuck Connors was an actor back in the 1960s in a TV series called "The Rifleman." I seem to remember the character as a fairly tame fellow who didn't back away when violence came into his life. It's been 40 years since I've seen an episode.
That's my guess.

'Leaders of the free (education) world'
are often so self-important that assume everybody has watched every re-run of the junk they watch in retrospect since 1931...

There were also persistent rumors that Chuck Connors was secretly part of the alternative lifestyle crowd. I have no idea why Bomber Douglas would try to smear you with such an allegation (not that there's anything wrong with it
), but Douglas has been making more and more irrational comments of late. (see thread on his exchange with Bruce the Cop at DI)

All speculations are off. Obscure reference to another Chuck Connors series, "Branded." Specifically, the opening credits sequence.

I just had to look Connors up. I do remember "Branded" but still miss the metaphor. Connors played in the first Boston Celtics game where he broke the first backboard ever in the NBA. He played one game for the Dodgers (Brooklyn) and 66 for the Cubs until he was sent to the minor leagur Los Angeles Angels where, as they say, the rest is history. Amazing man - mediocre actor. He was apparently drafted by the Bears but didn't play. Two pro sports is amazing but he probably could have done three.

It wasn't about the poster, but the subjects of the post.? Like Connors' character in that series, they were stripped of their titles/ranks.
