Did I miss the big announcement?  Did George Brown finally complete his 12 billion word dissertation and earn his doctorate from the University of Adelbrained?

Will he be offering to send copies of his diss to anyone who asks but then only send them to his friends, like Air Marshal Douglas did?  

Has anyone even read his diss?  Please, tell me it's not all done in crayon, is it?

Does this mean that George is now fully qualified to defend himself and doesn't need Peter French to do it for him?

Does this mean that George will now be telling all he knows about his involvement in the International College of Hotel Management scam?  Ha ha, don't hold your breath waiting for that one.

Whatever he was up to at ICHM or with Gay Al, it doesn't detract from his scholarly efforts.  Now if you've read it and you have a problem with content, that's another story.  But the man did the work, earned his degree and from a righteous school at that, so he deserves some respect on that account.  Not too much, but some.

My thoughts exactly. While I can't deny the enjoyment of butting heads with Dr. Brown, he is the real thing. He did more than pay $30 - 40,000 and package a simple undergrad level survey as a doctoral thesis, as others have done.

Besides, if Peter French says he's a good guy, he is in my books.

Sincere congratulations to Dr. George Brown on his accomplishment. IMHO, George Brown's principled stance on the DI porn mess puts him above Peter French (aka Earl Grey or some other stupid nom de plume). French has shown himself to be a gutless,weak-kneed, flip-flopper who feels the need to be accepted by Bear and the DI/DD crowd, at whatever cost. Gus, Bomber and the others have used this dolt to help support their RA or No Way agenda. I know that we have cut him some slack on the account of being Australian, but let's acknowledge that the entire country isn't filled with spineless worms like French. He has chosen his own path (until he changes his position yet again).  

I think that Dr. Brown is a fine example of an Australian educator with outstanding qualifications to comment upon any DL issue. His contributions to this field have been vast. I consider myself fortunate to be able to post on the same fora as he. (and equally fortunate that I can't post on the fora that Peter French currently inhabits)
