More on "Dr." Peter French

I hope that someone can set the record straight. I thought that Peter French used the screen name "James Grey" to post at Degreeboard. If so, wasn't he just ripping John Bear a new a**hole several months ago? What happened and why would he now join DD?

James Grey posts at Degreeboard

I always get him and George Brown confused. Where does George Brown stand on Bear, Sainz, Janko, Douglas, et al.? I do remember when Brown quite his moderator position at DI during the gay porn scandal and thought that he took a very principled position at that time.

George thinks that Douglas is an illiterate arsehole. He has never said anything negative about Bear and I'm sure he hasn't given one second of though to the rest of them.

Thanks, Ben, that takes care of George Brown. What about the recent flip-flop by French? He used to say some real nasty stuff about J.B. (all of which was true). After doing some searches ar Degreeboard, it seems that in James Grey's last post at Degreeboard he was rattled by the Hogwasher (Douglas?). The exchange certainly didn't seem harsh enough to cause one to throw in the towel and switch sides but who knows? Any thoughts?

Peter has been on both sides at the same time for 10 years. I could point to some specifics but there's no point.

Peter has found it less trouble to bend over than fight. As long as he knows he did valuable work for his doctorates he's got no-one to impress. The illiterate rabble at DI/DD had a problem with him because he was way more successful than any of them, academically and otherwise, with unaccredited doctorates. He certainly did more teaching and publishing than anyone there.

I agree 100% with what Ben says. One day Peter will support the idea of unaccredited schools having usage and value, and the next, he won't hear of it. He likes apple pie today and hates it tomorrow, now figure that one out.

I have said it before, many times, but like doing it so well, and it makes the guys from DI/DD, when they come here to see what we are saying, so mad, I'll do it again.

"All schools that are legal and have reasonable requirements have usage and value. These schools may be accredited, state licensed or self-validating. If a degree from a non-accredited school is to your liking and will do what YOU want it to, it's good enough. And it doesn't matter a damn bit what the professional posters say or don't say about that. It's your business not theirs, nor mine for that matter."

Aaaah, that felt so good. I hope I made at last one DD/DI shill have the runs. Smile

All very true, but one thing we all need to remember is that George and Peter are Australian, and so are quite different to 'normal' people!

Good point - I guess that means that alcohol plays a factor in determining which side of the fence they are on at any given moment.

I don't like to be around people who are too comfortable wobbling around on the top of a fence. It gets to be a habit, a very bad one at that. No, give me a person who will study a situation carefully and then make a decision based on that careful study. Trying to never be wrong guarantees that you will never be right. And, as far as I'm concerned, it also shows a lack of character and strength. (My Opinion)
