Islamism: This Generation's Communism?

I would say that in Europe and elsewhere it is rather easy to identify their likes with a bit of common sense and to stop them. Law enforcement even knows about those who, as Muslim converts, have gone to Syria to fight with the Jihadists there against the current regime. I am sure US authorities do know as well.

Last year, I have spent some time for the first time in my life in the US. Coming from China, I arrived at Seattle airport, and (perhaps not only ) because of my Muslim sounding first name in my passport, my luggage was checked and taken apart. They also asked me a lot of questions and finally allowed me in. I have nothing to hide, and it is good they do things like that, and the officers in charge were polite, fair, and friendly. So, I cannot complain.

I think such ways are far more efficient than an online course on Islamism...

Hi Jambo and welcome to our board and to the Land of the Free. I'm sure you are a swell guy with nothing to hide and only honorable intentions for your activities during your stay here. Unfortunately, many of your brethren are not so inclined.

The purpose of the course is to educate people about the clear and present danger America faces at the hands of the Islamo-fascists. Because the mainstream American noose media has wholly neglected to report the facts, the course bypasses that roadblock so people can learn the truth about the situation.

To make a historical analogy, Americans post 12/7/1941 didn't need a ten-part course to recognize that admitting Japanese visitors was a bad idea. They saw the burning wreckage at Pearl Harbor, they immediately understood what kind of enemy we were dealing with, and they undertook to defend the country and wipe out the bastards.

For some reason the country is no longer run by people possessed of that same simple logic. Instead they seem to worry more about offending some loud and obnoxious fringe political groups than they do about protecting the taxpaying citizens from potential evildoers. Or, more insidiously, they rather like the idea of internal chaos, because it makes it that much easier to bring about their glorious socialist "transformation."

As the course makes clear, we are at war. Or at least, people are at war with us. We need to act like a nation at war and play accordingly.

Nothing personal, but if the ethic of earlier times were in play now you wouldn't have made it through customs. Until they get the Star Trek mind scanner online, I'd prefer that to getting my legs blown off at the marathon.
