Warren National University/Kennedy-Western University Transcripts
#1
This is a serious matter. I am not speaking for myself but for several others who cannot get transcripts from our former school Warren National University closed.

At this time I did find the name and the number of the lawer who represents the former CEO of this school. I actually called the lawyer and he told me that he would give the message to his client. That was some time ago and I heard nothing.

Incidently, I am NOT part of that lawsuit which is out to get back the tuition I paid because I do not want to get my money back. I already invested a lot of time and effort to earn my degree and this is not about the money. And there are many others who I have been in contact with who feel the same way.

Rather this is about the University honoring its committment.

I would add that many of us have been defending the reputation of our college and put out a lot of effort into making the truth be known and I, for one feel that our efforts have been unapprediated. We were loyal to this school and the former administrators are giving us the shaft. Its not like we were getting paid for any PR work we did on behalf of our school. We did it because we wanted others to know the truth.

I still feel that WNU and KWU before it were NOT Diploma Mills. This was a school that provided education to many people and it took a lot of effort to earn a degree from there. Just because the owners and admins are not fulfilling their committment to us does not mean that our educational experience is not real.

So my question to everyone is this: What can we do to get our transcripts? We earned them and we need them. Why won't the owners of our school fulfill its committment to us?

WNU/KW should have given you a transcript when you completed your program.

The school shut down three years ago. Did you expect that they would continue providing transcripts forever?

If you can't manage to safeguard a piece of paper it's your own fault.

Did you check with Preston?

Quote:Transcripts WILL continue to be available to alumni and former students of the University after March, 2009. Preston University has agreed to act as the registrar of record for Warren National University. This web address will remain active as a means to direct alumni and former students to transcripting and other University registrar services.

Active students have been sent notification by Warren National University informing them of the opportunity to transfer to Preston University. More information on Preston University can be found at www.preston.edu

I have saved all of my own stuff and its safe. Not everyone was as lucky.

Furthermore, a lot of schools and places ask that the school itself send noterized transcripts.

No, Preston divorced itself from WNU long ago.

And if you believe everything the Cheyenne Herald tells you than I got a gold mine in Alaska that I would like to tell you about. Tongue

Ordinarily I would agree with you about the Herald. However, in this case the link was to a screen shot of the KW/WN website. If you had clicked the link you would know that.

If you never asked Preston how do you know they won't send you a transcript, regardless of the status of their "divorce"? Preston is still in business in California, so how tough is an email?

I think I'm getting the same feeling that RG seemed to have, that maybe you aren't trying too hard.

But I did contact Preston and a representative told me that Preston and Warren Nation no longer have any connections to eachother.

Shortly before WNU shut its doors for good, they made an arrangement for Preston to handle all of WNU's business. Then several things happened, beginning with Preston being hounded out of Alabama (or was it Lousiana, I can't remember) and setting up shop in California.

Preston is now in Los Angeles. But any connections with that College and Warren have been severed.

I also checked with Grand Canyon U and they no longer have any connections with WNU though they have been eager to accept former students.

As a side note, another indivual I have been in contact with got hold of a certain Ms Swanson who was a Dean or something and she referred him to Bob Patterson. Through some searching he managed to find Bob Patterson's attorney.

I myself contacted this law firm and they agreed to convey my request to Mr. Patterson.

So far I have heard nothing.

I did suggest to others who are seeking transcripts to threaten legal action or better yet to get a lawyer to send a strongly worded request.

Anyway you will find the contact info for this lawyer here...

So then if "no" means "yes," what does "yes" mean....?

By No I meant to say that Preston and Warren National still had ties. Sorry for the confusion.

It is absolutely true that I did contact Preston and was told that no ties exist.

I recently got admission at Atlantic International University and I've got to know that it is unaccredited. My question is, will the "metal RING seal" by the secretary of state of USA qualify the degree authentic and accepted by some organizations? Please, I need your views. Thanks.

If you are talking about
1 apostilles (Hague convention)
2 some other kind of notarized version
It may say your degree is AUTHENTIC (ex they may give X copies certifying they are IDENTICAL to document Y issued by institution Z), but as far as acceptance goes, it all depends on the recipient.
The notarization process takes no sides and cannot possibly evaluate the fitness of your certificate for N particular purposes.
Even mainstream accredited degrees may not be accepted all over the world by all institutions in all cases: differences, restrictions and subjective caveats apply.
I bought the "paratrooper I.D" that is AUTHENTIC, genuinely issued by the PARATROOPER ACADEMY...but since it is unaccredited/unofficial, it won't entitle me to veteran benefits or to professional access to military facilities.
