i'm leaving in 15 days
i'm starting to get a little
nervous
i hate packing so bad
today i'm going shopping for gifts for
my family
oh man! i almost forgot.
so last night i got home
after doing whatever i had been doing and there was a big ole cicada on
the outside of our house next to our door. so, i said something to it in
cicada language, you know "aweee awee aweeeeee" and then i started to open
the door and it ATTACKED ME! ok. it actually just flew into my neck, but
it shook me up!

right now it would be playing me biking down a street with
crunchy leaves (not in illinois) on a charming cruiser bike with yann
tiersen's "childhood 2" playing in the background. it's in "goodbye

sometimes the magnetic fields remind me of johnny cash.
mmm.
also, flavor of love is probably my favorite television show. the
girls are all so crazy! craziest, by far, is probably New York, who talks
with her eyes closed and cries over Flav. if you have not seen this show,
you should. Also, during my sunday tv adventures I paused long enough on
MTV to see some weird dating show with a character wearing a
HEWHOCORRUPTSINC patch. pretty cool?
the magnetic fields get hard to
listen to for the same reason it took me at least half an hour to find a
movie at that's rentertainment... i am completely sick of
witnessing/hearing about romance! (except for flavor of love) this
attitude is, of course, completely happening at a great time.
Because I
somehow managed to finish my calc homework before doing anything yesterday
(wow!!!) today will probably be devoted to mixtapes.

he who corrupts was good, the other bands, eh.
somehow
the show ended at 9:30? yes, we were equally baffled. because there were
other shows in peoria and terre haute, it ended up being a few people i
knew and an assload of U of I students from allen hall, aka people from
the suburbs. boo. so i hadnt been to a show in, oh say, a billion years,
and it was really different than i expected it to be. after the show we
went to lainey's and played card games, cat games, listened to queen and
cream. that was pretty cool.
the second band was having major mic
screetching problems, ugh. so we chilled (literally) outside and they
sounded ok from there. there is no actual point to this
entry!

p.s. the only weird part was having side-swept
bangs and feeling really disgustingly trendy when the group of five boys
with side swept bangs came in and stood behind us. what am i saying? there
were TONS of weird parts, like when that guy threw a pencil into the
crowd, or when james (not onderdonk) told us that it took him three hours
to sew on a patch. that was more funny than weird... great night!

not to expose myself as a party-loving scrub, but is

p.s. my brain is fried from college essays, i keep looking
