Tuesday, July 29, 2003 ( 1:27 PM ) "When you're nothing but a boyfriend, dangling by a thread, keep in mind the bottom line, diamonds are a girls best friend..." Today in Art we used more oil paints and I got incredibley messy. Then I went home. Using a transfer slip worked. It turns out that my easel neighbors are from New York City (Queens, perhaps?) and he is a junior and he is going to go to Centennial. The people on the pottery barn teen (>) catalogue look happy when you glance at them at first, but then upon closer inspection the boy looks really out of it and the girl is just... ugly. No offense to her, it's just a really unflattering picture. I think I washed off all the oil paints, but I am not sure because sometimes I think I smell them. And then I feel sort of funny... I have decided to start pronouncing the "pistols" in The Sex Pistols as pie-stols. Like Aevril Lavigny. Oooh. I am doing ice cream tonight. TONITE. The bus stop was sort of boring today... Now I am going to go to Kari's and we're going to go swim at Crystal Lake, I called them, they're open... An old buddy answered the phone. ¿lateri? # Monday, July 28, 2003 ( 11:57 PM ) "We're going to sedate you" I just walked downstairs in my underwear and fur scarf to get my pedro the lion CD... I wonder what my neighbors would do. Right now I am wanting a trench coat. I went to the oral surgeon today. My visit was slightly reminiscent of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"... but mostly because I was visited by three doctor like people and he was visited by three ghosts. The ladies who scheduled my appointment were oh so very incompetent. They basically told me that there were very few slots left for school kids (before school started) and that was their reason for not looking... Right after I had told them that my appointment had to be before August 25th, the lady was like "Alright, August 27th at 8:15am" so I snarled at her. So now I have an appointment for the 8th of August. I went to the mall and bought Kari a birthday present this evening... "Dad, the mall is such a soulless place." But who am I to complain? I bought her a nice thing... and me two nice things. On the way home, "Rite of Spring" came on the radio so my father and I turned it up, rolled down all the windows and combatted the boom boom rap cars... Yes, we are crazy. Kari and I went swimming today... our plan to say that I was from out of town (we went to Indian Acres) failed... Drew Hauffe(y?) happens to be a lifeguard there now... but he didnt give us away... yay. I didn't recognize him at first, his hair was very blond and crazy. I'm going to go to bed now. I am really loving that idea. laitedriledroc. # ( 12:07 AM ) On the way to the library I saw Emilia Garvey in her maroon mini van. Due to confusion within me, I have recently been looking at my eyes in the mirror and making statements and seeing what my pupils do. It seemed to be working for a while... um. Saturday promises to be fun and exciting. At the library, (which my mom and I biked to today) this guy in a shirt that said IGA and had basketballs on it with the sleeves cut off. Started talking to my mom... and sort of wouldn't stop. Then he asked her where the convienence store was.... and we biked off. I brought my helmet into the library and I got my finger stuck in it. And it hurt a lot and I almost cried. But I didn't, I was strong. But I was making a lot of owwie sounds... in the adult section... but it's ok, I'm not afraid of the white haired librarian anymore. Natalie calls it Bracamole. I saw Ken Urban at the library. I am going to go to "sleep" now. TAKE THAT. crdl # Sunday, July 27, 2003 ( 11:43 PM ) I am such a bad object of secret affection... oh gawd. ROOSTER! ROOSTER! If you'd like to tell me a bedtime story, be my guest. Today I babysat a little bit... it was easy. Then I went home, realized how hot it was and promply wasted no time... I immediatley began to sweat, called Kari, made plans to go swimming. Ate a popsicle. (cold, and delicious). Kari and I went swimming for an hour, the pool didn't have any of the normal goats... just strange girls in swimsuits. Oh yeah, and this one lady. We walked past her and she told me that my swimsuit was pretty. I thanked her. Then she told Kari and I that we looked good in our swimsuits and that she wished that she "looked like we did." It was sort of weird. But it would have been weirder if it had been a man... it wasn't... thankfully. Kari and I had fun breaking the rules. Tomorrow I start oil paints in art... yay. Then I leave early to go to the oral surgeon (sturgeon). According to part of a piece of paper by my computer that used to be part of a larger piece of paper that had a picture of a sturgeon on it that I used in a collage, "A single female beluga sturgeon may take 15 to 25 years to mature before she is killed for a sac of eggs that can fetch $100,000 or more in the U.S." Isn't that great? I cleaned off the floor of my room. My dad is telling me to go to sleep. But guess what. I am not tired. I had Indian food for dinner. I am going to go get a cookie from the kitchen because I meant to do that a long time (three hours) ago and I forgot. goodnight. # ( 1:27 AM ) Some people are sad and they take themselves way too seriously. Oh well. Some people aren't tired so they aren't going to bed (oop!). Today I thought about who I never wanted to see again... At least he's out of German class. HOLY MACKEREL. Mackerel is such a strange word, no? I think I should give up... on my fingernails. I try to be nice to them and all they do is break and act like total shitheads. Oh well. They're not *that* bad. And they're partly pink. The boys at CV Loydds are really sucky at giving messages to people. Um. Trucker hats' stylishness is like this... ^. CALL ME, I'LL EXPLAIN AND THEN YOU'LL PRETEND TO LISTEN. Am I going to lie to you and tell you that my caps lock was stuck on? NO. Pretty belgium... Fizzuck... how the hell do you spell belgin? you know, the people who come from belgium. Oh crap. The Color Purple really messed up my spelling. How does one get a blister if one has not worn proper shoes for about a week? Tell me that! Oh yea, you all fail my contest... except Maureen and Kari, they're great. Even if they do attack me. Things have gotten so confusing since I started hating you... just kidding! Shooomp. That was this sound of the airplane toilet flushing this post. It is good that airplanes do not let the waste out of the bottom of the plane like German trains do... I bet getting hit with poop from an airplane could kill you. That would be really unfortunate. Especially if it was your wedding day. Or if you had just been nominated for an academy award... or if you were giving a really important speech-- outside. Stay inside.. carry your umbrella everywhere you go, you will never be safe... but it's worth trying. TO BED. CORDELIA IS CLIMBING THE LADDER TO HER BED. JUST KIDDING. SHE IS AT HER COMPUTER THINKING ABOUT WHERE HER PAJAMAS ARE. UM. BYE. ! # ( 1:05 AM ) "This is how we multiply, pity that it's not my wife..." -ptl. Yes well. Everyone's allowed to like one Xtian band, right? OMAHA EXPLOSION. I saw "Nowhere in Africa" tonight at the art. It was very good. It had German and that made me happy. Afterwards, I went with my parents and their friends to Aroma, a cafe. I had a blackberry Italian soda. It was good and berrylicious. I read Spin magazine. Saw the guy who set up the skeleton dance, had cold feet... My hair is screaming at me to chop it off. I am trying to subdue it by confusing it and parting it weird. My CD players have been made victim to my newly working emo cds. I walked by a restaurant, felt sad and in less than 3 seconds realized what my greatest fear is. It isn't all fun and games, Rosalita. *bla bla bla* The Papa in "Nowhere in Africa" sort of looked like a cross between Geovanni Ribisi and Franz. Franz, "the cool one," David Stolarsky's host bruder. *sigh* Then again, the "uncool" Franz was pretty neat too. Um. My mommy's hair is pretty. I wish mine were like hers... or black... or purple... or clean. I like languages and spinach. I also like belts and socks. I like lentils. Once I ate lentils out of an interesting piece of pottery. Today I talked to fast and my flip flops were too tight. Good bye Mr. Dorky Glasses. l.! # Saturday, July 26, 2003 ( 12:54 PM ) Uno... Mmmm. "Creep" by Radiohead is good. So... I bet you want to hear all about the wild and crazy party (girl friend get-together, teehee!) at Kari's. So... we had mint chocolate cookie ice cream. We rented the Rocky Horror Picture Show. At first, Kari was a little freaked out by Dr. Frankenfurter, but I think she liked it in the end. She also called Brad "Ted" by accident. We did the time warp and attempted to throw M&Ms into each others mouths. Maureen thought Rocky was fine, Kari thought he had a bad haircut. After the movie we went upstairs to go to the bathroom (we slept in the basement) and we chit chatted up there for a while. I startled Kari while she was coming out of the bathroom so she clawed my throat and choked herself. Later on in the evening, Kari was walking up the stairs (to the bathroom) and she fell over. Then her Dad got up... Anyhow, we went to bed a little after 3:33am. Then in the Morning, Vasikki's dad turned on the light at 11:07. That was slightly cruel. more later... # Thursday, July 24, 2003 ( 12:45 PM ) I am eating orzos! Holy fucking shit (I hope my grandma doesn't read this). I just took a big mouthful and resisted the urge to spit them at my computer. Good news: my pedro the lion CDs and my bright eyes CD work in my discman. Bad news: I dropped my discman while trying to enter my house. More good news: it seems to still work. Um... I have decided to extend the contest deadline. Today at Art I sprayed uber-toxic fixative over my drawing (so it wouldn't smudge) and it dulled the color... boo hoo. "When's recess" - Smiley Boy's Tshirt (don't worry, I don't want you to understand). I wonder if Natalie and I are going to the fair today... I sort of hope not. The day of OUCHINESS approaches! Today at the bus stop I saw Andreas and (maybe) Ethan Chew. Oh... and the guy who works at Delight's and a girl in my Dad's lab. Alright then, Time to babysit. cordelia says "arfy warfy" # Wednesday, July 23, 2003 ( 9:33 PM ) When I grow up, I should become an obsessive stalker because I think I'd be really good at it and it looks like it could be sort of easy. Ummm.... Just Kidding! (or am I?). Art was good today, my picture was super pretty and I was oh so proud. While walking home from getting off the bus I had to walk across a newly paved road. So I ran. Because my shoes were sticking and I got frightened. Today I saw my Mommy while waiting for the bus, and my friend Olivia's Dad. Yesterday I saw Mark, Bro, Mike A.'s sister and someone else. I wonder if I'll see anyone tomorrow. I hope I will. People are so fun. lateri? # ( 8:25 PM ) But if you see us around, I got something else to show you... I had opinions, they don't matter, I had a brain, it felt like pancake batter. Mmmmmmm. Velvet Goldmine. Yum. This weekend promises to be hectic and evil. Evil because it is full of good stuff. Perhaps too full. But that's because Maureen will be out of town for her birthday, and Kari is having a "small girlfriend get together" (as maureen used to call her bday parties in elementary school.) for Maureen. I think it'll just be us... but we'll have fun. *break for dinner* There was more to say, but I'm no longer in the mood. Oh well. I have to write Sara now, she's at camp. You should write her too, email me and I'll send you her addy. la! # Monday, July 21, 2003 ( 1:51 PM ) This woman just called me for an AI survey. It must have taken fifteen minutes. Oh well. She was japanese and sometimes it was hard to understand her... like when she said the word "goals." And once she just started giggling. "Oh I so sorry, I feel guilty" teehee. Oh well. Um... Art class was pretty good. Jessica and Stephanie were there. It turns out that Jessica got less sleep than me. AND she works at planned parenthood. I wish that if I had a job it would be to work there. I really need to do my silver award. Otherwise I'm going to have to quit girl scouts. boo hoo. Um... being a corporate pawn is sad. I had a burrito for lunch. Now Dan can't revoke my hairbrush priviledges (yay). It's time for me to go brush my teeth and go to KARI'S. lateriiii. # ( 1:24 AM ) Blogging is sort of like typing up my conversations that I have with myself. Why anyone would want to read them is beyond me <--- lie (I just wrote it 'cause it sounded good). I think I'll stop now. No truly, I think I will (the truth). Um. ... # ( 1:22 AM ) I have a confession to make. In that last post, at the end. I should have said strange, but instead I said queer. Because it has such a nice ring to it, and I could not resist the urge. Forgive me if you must, l. # ( 1:20 AM ) I would like to give a big, big BIG fuck you to Nair, Raspberry RAZ-MA-TAZZ four minute formula. Four minutes of perfect, painless hair removal, I think not. Four minutes of painful, stinging, hurts your owwies half-assed hair removal that takes closer to 9 minutes. Yes. So now my pink nair bottle can go fuck itself. My Dad made me go to bed but obviously, I am not tired, I am angry. Art class is going to blow tomorrow. But only because of my mean attitude and the fact that I just used the word "blow." Gah. Anyways, I heard a nice song on inner limits... "Tonight, we ride..." Did I tell you about the barbeque at Ariana's? Briefly? Hm... alright. My pajamas are super colorful... lime green and bright pink. Remember Juice? Remember the good times? YES MAN, I HEAR YOU. Here is the poem I wrote to Tess: myam myam myam I like Jelly, I like Jam, right now I want a big piece of ham. But it was sort of a lie, because I don't want any ham. Now or ever, MEAT IS MURDER. (more lies). What started out as a simple trip to the bathroom ended up as a blog post... Queer how things work out, isn't it? late.r. I! # Sunday, July 20, 2003 ( 3:06 PM ) Did you know that I'm still thinking about that oreo pie? I'm pretty sure it was basically oreos and cool whip, but it was good. Mmmmmm. I got out of bed at 1:10 pm today. Three people called me this morning, Kelsey, Ariana and Someone else. But I don't know who the third person was. Oh well. Oh yeah... it was Batia. Last night I watched part of the recruit with my dad. Then I had a dream that I was in a building and this lady was going to bomb it. So she was in the communal showers with clothes on because she didn't want her corpse to be naked. That morphed into a dream in the lunch room. Where the lunch ladies were serving spaghetti and pizza. I had brought my own spaghetti from home that my dad made, my spaghetti sort of got mixed up with Kari's so I ended up eating some of her garlic bread. I met one of the lunch ladies. She told me her name and that she was russian. For some reason, she was speaking in German and I was trying to respond in German, but it was coming out French. I told her that my Mom spoke Russian. That made her excited. I also told her that Victor spoke Russian. She knew this already. For some reason, I was outside of the building at one point and I saw Audrey and Phil. Phil was grumpy (as usual) and Audrey's hair was greying and she had a beard like Phil. It was a strange dream. This morning my Dad decided that waking me up would be good. He said it was "almost 12." But I explained that I had had a tummy ache and as a result had not been able to get to sleep so I deserved to sleep late. He left me alone and prepared a bagel with lox for me. Oh boo hoo, my Weezer CD just ended. " "Maybe you should just wear some high-tops or lace up shoes." Gahhhh. Batia is getting back soon (CHILLI/CHILLY). Today I woke up really late and went to Kari's and she graciously fed me pizza. And we went swimming at Indian Acres (GASP). But only because it was so close and she has a membership. In-town people aren't supposed to go... oh well. Her dad never goes, so I was just taking his portion of membership. Kari and I were discussing how Indian Acres is for people who want to belong to a pool but can't/don't belong to the country club for a number of reasons. It was interesting. We played catch... one of us jumped off the diving board and the other threw the "splash bomb." Before we left for the pool we spoke in askents. Kari owes me money. My sleep cycle is so odd that it is mooglibop! boo boo. AWEEE AWEE. jesus, no one know what's going on, do they? Oh my. My dad just got home. My grandma gave me a present... uber expensive yarn and BAMBOO knitting kneedles. My dad basically told me that I should start doing stuff with it or my grandma will take it over when she comes out for my birthday. Which is... true. But I love her. And I love you. (I JUST MADE YOUR DAY). Right now I am full of love. If you come over I will give you a hug (one) and sing you violent femmes songs. Like how I sang a violent femmes song and he was like "what?" he didn't hear... or maybe it was disbelief (could it be true?!). My Pedro the Lion CD isn't working. I think it's because my CD player is an angry pagan and it hates Pedro's Jesus filled lyrics (not so full of Jesus). As I was typing that, I thought of those round sweet brown balls that were syrupy that I ate at Oosha's house in Iowa. My dad heard Pedro say the word "Jesus" and he was like "Are you listening to Christian rock?!" his voice was dripping with disgust. But I told him about how Christian stores had outlawed him because of the little thing about graphic sex... and it was all fine. Uh. bye then. # ( 1:04 AM ) I could write an entire post about leg hair, but that would be icky, so you'll just have to take my word for it, because I'm not going to prove it to you. Today I went to Daniel C. Hedin's. [I think C is his middle initial, but it's sort of a guess.] I met his three cats. They are very nice. We ate yummy curry, very yummy. There was also watermelon, the most wateriest watermelon that I've ever eaten. Claire and Hannah and Vikki came over and we watched "Cemetery Man." They are from Mahomet, they dance while they sit. Dan burned me Pedro the Lion and Bright Eyes. Now I am bogged down with emo. My cat is biting my calves. I had bunny tracks ice cream (at first I wrote eyes cream) it was grrrrreat. I am listening to loveline. Dr. Drew is obviously the smarter and less obnoxious one. Poor loveline dudes. I have an enormous meat craving. Bad. lateri # Wednesday, July 16, 2003 ( 5:46 PM ) Today Kari and Sara and I (me?) saw Legally Blond. We got to the movie theater to find Sara... waiting! (she pointed out this was a first). While in line to buy tickets I saw Ariana. Did I say hi to her? No, of course not, that would be normal. I pointed at her with wide eyes until she turned around and I laughed (squealed). Sara bought a blue slooshie. Kari and I bought nothing because we had cleverly concealed two bags of m&ms (one crispy, one peanut butter) and one half eaten rice krispy treat in my purse. I was carrying a purse.... hahahahaha. Ariana came and watched our movie with us (abandoning her sister and friend, Sarah). The movie was pretty good. My bike ride home was sucky. There's a tree in my neighbor's backyard that's all brown with no green at all. I wonder if it's dead. I disected my peach pit. There's someone I hate on my buddy list. I think they're only there so I can get homework assignments from them. But it's summer and with some luck I won't have to talk to them at all next year. So I'm going to block this person. Mmmm, power. I just realized how many people I have blocked. Hm. Maybe I should learn to deal with people some other way. Blablabla. The other day I was playing with my template. But it decided not to save itself. So maybe I'll do more of that now. lateri # Tuesday, July 15, 2003 ( 9:31 PM ) Sometimes I think that my blog is becoming too cryptic for even me to understand. But that is too bad. Today Kari came over and we watched most of Mullholland Drive. I think the woman on woman (as you know who would oh-so-cleverly put it) stuff made Kari uncomfortable. After watching the movie (I finished it with my mommy) I was very confused. The dirty guy was especially confusing. I always want to spell especially with an 'X' because I say it like "expetially." If that makes any sense. Last night I went to a hardcore concert with Mark and Zoe and Maggie. The usual suspects were there. It was loud. I liked TR, the rest of the bands were fine. Then we went to espresso royale and I had a hot chocolate. yummy. Apparently, according to Mark, I have been drinking hot chocolates wrong my whole life because I eat the whipped cream first. Oh well, it's nice to know at least. My Nana called me tonight and did the funny Nana thing were she tells you she got you a present and how great it is and how she can't tell you. It was humorous. Batia called twice today, once when Ariana was over before going to the library for TAB (teen advisory board), and once just a bit ago. It was nice talking to her and her buddies. I hope to eat some corn soon. Life is pretty, but not as pretty as my mod outfit. I'm out. # ( 12:01 AM ) I just had this urge to put my head in a bowl of water (milk?) and giggle. Giggle until my head falls off. Then I think someone should slap me, slap my decapitated head. I miss cereal. I miss Koco (eagle, eagle) puffs and Kix. Especially kix. Summer is the best part of the year, I think. Batia is in town for the weekend... PARTAY? Today I went to Kari's and we played and ate mac and cheese and went swimming. Guess who works at the pool now! That's right, Henry. HENRY POLLOCK. I think Kari finds him weird. But then again, so do I. Not really, but if I were Kari, I would. SUBJUNCTIVE! goody. I just went to the New Art Theater. It is really schnazzed up. I saw a movie there, "The Man On The Train." It had Johnny Holliday (blarf) but he didn't sing (thank goodness). I am reading Seventeen Magazine and trying to keep a straight face. My attempt at cleaning my room failed miserabley. OH WELL. I have a better cleaning idea. nonononono # ( 10:25 AM ) I would love to love you lover.... Last nighty, I went to dinner with my Mommy at the residence of my father's colleagues. It was a tasty dinner. Then I had strawberry cheese cake, yum. They told me that the New Art Theater was open again. Now I am amazed and happy. I hope they have good movies. I made some comment about wanting to work there, and one of them said that they'd really grill me about my movie knowledge. This led to a very long fantasy/day dream about working at the New Art Theater. Tom has just informed me that there's a hardcore show at the Red Herring monday. there's more, but i have to clean my room. lateri. # Saturday, July 12, 2003 ( 6:59 PM ) Bobby says it's fine, he don't consider it cheating. Today I woke up. I think that my Mommy went to the farmer's market. I didn't go, I would have wanted to, if she had asked me. She didn't. Next week I'll go, I hope. Then I can see the aware people and be like "i love you." Or maybe just, "hi." I am really excited about volunteering along the course of the 73 mile bike ride. I think that's because I like NOW. Yesterday the concert was super pretty. Seeing John Norcross made me happy, because he introduced his girlfriend to me and they were smiling and so happy looking. I had a guitar lesson today, it was stellar. I actually played well. (could this possibly prove that there's a connection between practicing and playing well?). I have art classes in a week or so. That is exciting, I love art classes. I hope Gail is not teaching. That would be bad. Once, I was sitting across from her and this girl and I was wearing headphones and Gail started talking to the girl (krissi) about me. It was weird. I think I would have been listening to Alkaline Trio, if my CD had been on. I sort of want to change my blog skin. Maybe I can find one with really thick "nerd" glasses, that would be nice. Sometimes, my friends really tire me out. But not in the way that they're supposed to. And then I feel like I should crawl into bed and sleep for 1,000 years. It never works out that way. I know what's going to happen, and it's not going to be pretty. And it's all my fault, and that is very sad. Ok, I'm done now. Today all I drank until 3pm was lemonade. Then I had two glasses of milk and a pibb Xtra. I don't like pibbs. I am going to the Thaler's for din dins. And we have to leave now. Please don't smoke, it's smelly. laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaateeeeeeeeeeeri # Friday, July 11, 2003 ( 11:53 PM ) Laughing at the sunrise, like he's been up all night. I was right, the X-ray machine was big. I had to put on a heavy jacket and bite on a piece of plastic while this thing rotated around my head. I have to admit, I was scared. It was sort of noisy. I closed my eyes tightly at one point, just in case. But then I got an X-ray of all of my teeth and my jaw. Bad news folks, my wisdom teeth are coming in right where my jaw goes up. There is no room for them. They will have to be removed. That is a little frightening and unfortunate. This makes my parents really sad because they still have theirs. Oh boo hoo. Then, I went to panera with my mom and she spilled water on my leg. So I took off my shoes. It was no big deal. Then, I went home and "unpacked." Then, I biked over to Kari's, got really tired, ate ice cream, played SIMS, went swimming. Swimming was fun. The water was pretty warm, the life guards didn't care that we were flipping each other... yea. There were, however, some goats. Evil Goats. With man boobs. There's an abundance of man boobs at Crystal Lake. Quite unfortunate. Actually today, there was an abundance of pectoral muscles. Ick. Kari poured water on my head. When we got bags to put our stuff in, some gross underwear fell out of Kari's. We shrieked and kept our distance (except when she almost stepped on it, AH!). Then, when we were leaving, Kari took the green bag outside. And I turned around and saw her and she realized her mistake and I laughed at her, she corrected her mistake, and I laughed at her more. Then, we went back to her house, furnished houses, looked at a pretty dress, and I road home. I took a shower, Mark and Sara came over, we ate pizza and went to Crystal Lake Park for a concert. It was pretty good. Kristin came, but sadly, Anthony and Kelsey were nowhere to be found (boo hoo). But I did see Lee Fritz! And some gross Edison (now central) girls. I also saw Stas, but I didn't talk to him, that would have been weird. Ooooh yeah, I met Lee's sister. The scrapes on my leg are getting better, do you know what that means? NO YOU DO NOT. Unless I told you. Sara like the shape of Tyson's head. I have to write to her at French Camp. Ooooh. Art class a week from Monday... yay. Oh silly me, I need to sleep. I think they're gonna look at my wizdom teeth. That's what they said, at least. I think this means that I get to get X-rayed. With a really BIG x-ray machine. I told Sara that my hair was unhappy and she told me to yell at it. So I told it that it was bad. Now I have to wash it and apologize. Tonight, there is an RHV/X-Krush concert. At crystal lake park. Details at openingbands.com you should go, I'm going, Sara's going. Last night and this morning I watched Almodovar's "High Heels." It was nice. I also woke up at 5:33 am.
