It really amuses me how some here can hold their breath waiting for some of the jackasses on the payroll of the accreditation cartel to go to jail for the many obvious violations which they are guilty of.
The Italian humanitarian group Emergency is of left wing persuasion. They have set up a number of hospitals in war or disaster-torn zones such as Cambodia, Aghanistan etc.
There were talks of a nobel prize to the founder Gino Strada.
They've been very outspoken in the denunciation of abuses and 'mishaps', such as when invader...ops...peace keepers get it wrong and blast encampments full of civilians of color...in a climate that worships the recovery of shoe boxes containing the remains of hundreds thousands victims and the consequent ongoing denunciation of atrocities from several decades in the past on the basis of absolute ethical imperatives, one would surmise Emergency's denunciations be worth a nobel prize...
Think again...
They've recently been framed by the straw man government in Afghanistan for allegedly orchestrating a political assassination on behalf of the Talibans who had allegedly paid $500.000.
Well, how the Talibans may need to pay $500.000 to a few wops operating a hospital-encampment, in order to carry on their deeds is beyond me, but there they were witnesses and informants and more witnesses and secret service reports.
It sounds like mafia style intimidation to me, eh?
As soon as Emergency agreed to quit the area, all accusation fell as mysteriously as they had appeared...well, maybe the informant got it wrong this time and the witness meant another guy, eh?
Now occupying forces are free to clean house without anyone blowing the whistle about nonsense such as slaughtered civilians of color...I mean, come on...you can stretch the joke only so far, eh?
Do you think Emergency got the message right?
