Apparently UAH has a real abundance of nut case profs, including this
physics prof (PhD, NCACS-accredited Michigan Tech) who offed his wife in 2006:
Former UAH prof who killed wife, dumped her in river, gets 45 years in prison

DECATUR, Ala. -- A former University of Alabama in Huntsville physics professor was sentenced to 45 years in prison for killing his wife and dumping her nude body in the Tennessee River, weighted down by a backpack full of rocks.
Andrew Pakhomov, 47, cannot seek parole for 15 years.
He was convicted in August of killing his wife, Yelena Zakin, 42, over Memorial Day weekend in 2006. Prosecutors said he strangled her and dumped her body in the river after she had wrecked his office when she found the professor with another woman. A fisherman found the partially submerged body June 1.
Pakhomov, who has remarried, told the judge, "I am asking for consideration for my son, my wife, for mercy."
The victim's daughter, Aleksandra Zakin, a recent college graduate, choked back tears as she spoke.
"Every time I go to a wedding and mothers get up to light a candle, I begin to cry ...," she said. "My children will never get a chance to know their grandmother."
Kirill Pakhomov, a son of the professor from an earlier marriage, told the court, "I love my father, and know he is a good, intelligent and peaceful person."
Defense attorney Robert Tuten said he was glad Circuit Judge Sherri Paler did not sentence Pakhomov to the maximum 99 years, but plans to appeal. He asked for a new trial, citing new evidence in the form of photos showing Zakin wearing a leather belt like the one found around her neck. He accused prosecutor Wendy Lavender of "intentionally misleading the jury into believing the belt was Pakhomov's."
"Assuming it was her belt," Lavender replied, "there was still his DNA under her fingernails, her blood in his car, he was the last person seen with her, and there were about 13 or 14 other things. The jury had ample reason to convict him."
The judge also noted that Pakhomov told police his wife left the house the night of her disappearance wearing nothing but a bathrobe.

Looks like there's at least three non-white positions open at UAH now. This might all have been part of Obama's plan to decrease minority unemployment.
Doesn't two spades beat a spick, a mick, a desi and a wop? Or is that only in Western Canadian style Tegwar?

Yes, unless you are playing Southeastern Tegwar, in which case a spick, a mick, a desi and a wop makes a Double Honeybees, and beats two spades.

We don't make 'em up. E.g.:
Quote:Ms. Bishop is Jewish, with her father (Samuel Solomon Bishop) being a PhD and a professor at Northeastern University. Her mother is Judith S. and involved in local politics in Braintree, serving as a member of the Police Personnel Board, Amy killed her brother Seth by some accounts, in a rage, She is a self-described "Socialist" and is an Obama enthusiast, liberal, was a person of interest for an attempted bombing at Harvard Children's Hospital, particularly on her Doctral overseer another Jewish Doctor (she apparently does not discriminate even re: her own faith). She is not a member of any known Synagogue nor has particularly close ties to the Jewish community.

Truth is no defense!!!!!!!!!
If your heart wasn't full of dark bigotry, you wouldn't have remarked she's Jewish!!!! You would not have drawn conclusions based on that faaaact!!! You would have turned the page to sports!!!
Truth is that she HAPPENS to be Jewish (and an Obama enthusiast AND a socialist AND a liberal )...by sheer chance...it also happened that she happened to have shot her brother dead and she happened to have ran around with a loaded weapon, etc etc.
How can people jump to conclusions about that, if not out of sheer hate?
Things happen in life...meteor storms, eclipses, breaking wind...this does not mean bigots are right to stereotype people based on mere happenstance...that leads to the hate crime of persecuting harmless Jewish elderly such as Madoff...Hitler is only one step ahead...
Please, be tolerant...
Amy Bishop charged with 2002 assault at IHOP

HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Police reports show that in 2002, UAH shooting suspect Amy Bishop punched a woman in the head for not giving her child a booster seat at a restaurant, all the while yelling, "I am Dr. Amy Bishop."
In March of that year, Bishop went to an International House of Pancakes in Massachusetts with family and asked for a booster seat for one of her children, according to The Boston Globe. When she found out another mother had gotten the seat, she walked over to the woman, demanded the seat and yelled profanities at her, according to the police report.
When the woman refused to give up the seat, she punched her in the head and yelled "I am Dr. Amy Bishop."
The Globe said Bishop received probation and prosecutors recommended that she be sent to anger management classes. It's unclear if she ever went. The victim in the assault declined to talk to the Boston newspaper.
This story shows the big lie being offered by UAH, that since Bishop wasn't charged for slaughtering her brother with a shotgun blast to the heart, no criminal background check would have discovered her aberrant past.
The truth seems to be that they never bothered to do a criminal background check in the first place. So obviously they missed the IHOP baby seat punchout (which
would have been discovered) because they never looked!
No Criminal Background Check for UAH Shooting Suspect

Huntsville - University of Alabama in Huntsville President Dr. David Williams says the professor accused in his school's fatal rampage underwent a standard academic background check when hired 7 years ago, but no criminal background check. Williams points out Dr. Amy Bishop-Anderson's recently unearthed legal issues would not have turned up in a criminal background check, because she was not charged with crimes.
The Boston Globe has reported un-named law enforcement official, as saying Bishop-Anderson and her husband were questioned in connection with a 1993 attempted mail bombing of a Harvard medical school professor. Thirteen years earlier, Bishop-Anderson accidentally shot and killed her brother in Massachusetts. Authorities there deny rumblings of a cover-up.
James Anderson, the suspect's husband, says he is bothered by the resurrection of "closed cases" linked to Bishop-Anderson. When asked if he believed his wife was capable of the crime she is accused of he said no, but went on to say "I don't know what broke."
Dr. Williams, without being specific, confirmed the suspect did not meet UAH's standards for tenure, and was scheduled to leave the school after this semester. Although 4 of the victims were minorities, UAH points out other 2 victims were white. UAH's president says he will not speculate about Bishop-Anderson's motive.
In the basketball league my kid plays in the league runs criminal background checks on all the coaches.? The government does criminal background checks on lawyers, stock brokers, real estate salesmen, insurance agents, law enforcement, fire fighters, IRS agents, just about any licensed or government type job you can think of.
So if you are going to turn your government employees loose in a mandated "gun free zone" (i.e., easy, unarmed target zone) doesn't it make sense to do more than just verify their degrees?
So there's that physics prof who murdered his wife, there's this bio prof who murdered at least three colleagues, there's even a
janitor who slaughtered seven in a college library, the list goes on and on.
Where are all those concerned public interest and consumer protection advocates now? Why aren't they clamoring for government scrutiny and control of higher education hiring??
Are unaccredited degrees more of a public health threat than hiring dangerous mental cases as government university teachers? Have any SRU grads, profs or janitors committed mass murder lately?
If even one physics prof has already gone on a murderous rampage shouldn't all physics profs be required to undergo criminal background checks and psychological screening? It seems only right. Real public safety issues are involved here, not trumped up claims by witless shills protecting the billionaire higher ed cartel.

Again: it depends on who you are...
A scandal revealed how corrupt politicians were able to transfer millions in bribes through three different banks in 30 minutes...in the case of poor little hulksters, it'd take days and it'd be subjected to all sorts of scrutiny...you know, all those bad terrorists and kidnappers of babies, we must make sure your money is clean...
About 10 years ago one of the Seagram Whisky Bronfmans moved from Canada to the US. A resident emigrating from Canada must declare any capital gains earned to date and pay taxes on them, unless your name is Bronfman who obtained a preclearance to avoid the tax. You can't tell me Liberal Party donations are a waste of money.
Several years before that the Canada Revenue Agency fought a proud battle to tax the tips of waitresses. It was an expensive waste of time that brought in little cash and got them a black eye when many of their wild assessments were thrown out in court.
