When I first saw this I thought it was just casual nose picking, but now that you mention it I see you are right, that it's less actual nose-picking or nose-wiping than it is Molly Shannon-style finger-sniffing. YECH!

But it looks like he's also going pocket-to-nose as well as armpit-to-nose. So unless he's got a ham sandwich stuffed in his pants that's crotch-sniffing too, not just pit-sniffing.

Notice how Ezell just walks right past gollin when he's introduced, ignores him, doesn't say thank you or make nice.

Then he waits until gollin sits down and has him get back up to pass out the handouts.

Ezell clearly thinks gollin is a turd, probably embarrassed as hell to have to follow a prancing fairy on stage. Hoping none of his manly FBI friends sees him in such sordid company.

He's likely wondering if there isn't some Lysol handy so he can disinfect the place before he inhales any eau de armpit.

The thing being lost in the comedy is that pretty much everything coming out of Gollin's pit-sniffing pie hole is a lie.? A fake medical degree doesn't entitle the holder to practice medicine.? Even people with real degrees can't practice medicine unless they fulfill licensing requirements.? Practicing medicine without a license is a crime already, even if the fake practitioner has a real degree.?

This is obviously just more of his socialist propaganda, for the purpose of establishing even greater government control over higher? education.? His ultimate purpose is to eliminate any vestiges of non-conforming doctrines (i.e., Christianity) from higher education.?

Gollin thinks (apparently correctly, so far) that government dimwits and socialist drones don't realize that the government already controls licensing of, e.g., doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc.?

In fact, entry into just about every skilled trade not controlled by the unions is controlled by the government.? Ask your barber.? People in the real world get this, but academicians, politicians, "community organizers," and those others who are not remotely in touch with reality do not.

He's saying "stop fake doctors from killing people," but what he really means is "stop private enterprise from competing with the government-controlled billionaire cartel."? Real doctors kill more people than fake doctors, so obviously fake doctors are not the issue.? The issue is private institutions (frequently religion-based) who march to their own drummers and aren't beholden to Big Brother.? That's what he hates, that's what he fears, that's what he is trying to destroy.

You are right about all that, of course. But the unfortunate fact is that we get more mileage from people remembering gollin as the pit-sniffing, butt-scratching. nose-picking. fairy-swishing, podium-humping fool that he is rather than remembering anything about his socialist politics. If gollin can sell the sizzle ("degree mill doctors killing kids!!!!!") and not the steak, so can we.
