Full Version: Think that it's the first time the 'Obama' routine is pulled? Think again...

They've tried fake cowboys, dancing bears, third-rate actors, now they want to try a 'green' or 'red' mulatto...
I wish them good luck.
It was predictable enough, but of the sad kind of predictability after all of Obama's 'mistakes', 'parting with (wrong) friends' and befuddled TV declaration of Muslim faith.
I think, however, that old Bush was the only one in recent times to go for a third term in a row for the same party...it was just predictable it'd end like this.
For those who think it is a brand new trick, it's not.
In Italy around 1994-96 there was already such sleight of hand.
MISS ITALIA is the biggest nationwide beauty pageant, first run under Fascism to celebrate 'Italian beauty' (whatever that is, it's supposedly in the 'white' color zone ).

Now there had been severe, ongoing political crisis since 1992 in Italy, that had led to the collapse of a regime having lasted since 1945. A new copy of the same regime would soon be reinstated, but that's another matter.

A new political party (Lega Nord) at that time pushed what servile journalists referred to as 'racist and secessionist' agenda.
Now as an insult to that party, its agenda and its (at the time) raising consensus, a mulatto woman was 'politically propelled' to win the beauty contest, with servile journalists dancing and celebrating throughout the tiresome weeks in which the contest had become a political battle field.
I still remember plenty of first page, AAA+ newspaper or prime time TV tirades by intellectuals and other regime hirelings celebrating the upcoming defeat and ridicule of 'racist secessionists' and -such was usually the punchline- what better way to celebrate than the election of a 'black' top beauty queen?
Much like Obama, Denny Mendez was not 'black' but a dominican mulatto misnamed 'black' for political reasons, given that she was 'italian' only because her mother had married an Italian citizen who wasn't her biological father.
Political crisis had thus found a sublimation in that farce.

Now some may object that a beauty contest, however important, in some minor country has nothing in common with the election of a president of a major country...think again.
It's just the 'billion dollars' Hollywood copy of some minor foreign production...not the first time it happens, not the last.
Michael Jackson was sentenced to pay hefty compensation for having stolen a song from Italian songwriter Albano Carrisi...now how many people outside Italy know him?
'Big' with Tom Hanks was the carbon copy of an earlier Italian low-profile movie ('da grande'), and so forth.
I am sure the Denny Mendez lesson didn't escape American AAA+ analysts...[/quote]
She looks pretty hot. The story only suprises me in that radical left-wingers normally would be opposed to beauty contests as a matter of ideology on several grounds. (exploitation of women, competition in general, glorifying physical attributes other women don't have, etc.)

Ah...I forgot ALBERTO FUJIMORI...a Japanese who got to become president of Peru winning over acclaimed expatriate writer Vargas Llosa...
A Japanese president of 'racially (very) diverse' Peru almost beats a mulatto, I think...
Peruvian big carpet baggers probably wanted to scandalize and make the unwashed dream as well...
Too bad Peruvians aren't left with good memories of Fujimori's term (1990-2000)...

Oh brilliant one, no one can seek a third term for president. There is a two-term limit.

Perhaps a reflection of the equation Bush = McCain

Your comment is really cocky and I suppose I should feel intimidated or something...in reality what I said still stands...Bush senior served the third term (after 2 terms for Reagan ) in a row for the same party...
Party...non individual...but I suppose such nonsense as logic comes second to a witty comeback... only uncle Janko can get any smarter.

As I said, the unwritten law of parties taking turns triumphs...especially since the once exceptional 2-terms now seems almost the rule...

Ah, Alberto Fujimori tried to expatriate to Japan but is now serving 6 years jail term for abuse of power...
How long does the honeymoon last? I suspect when it becomes apparent that he has no more substance than George Bush and the Democrat congress decides that it doesn't want to commit hari kari by following Obama's dreams instead of their own. I suspect one term is in the cards but could be wrong because the media will take much longer to abandon a Democrat than a Republican.

I am all for Palin 2012. Give me a down-home populist to another scum-sucking Harvard grad any day, someone who lives their life in the real world. Again the media will only belittle a person from the working classes.

Press & media (not only at home but abroad ) have been generally unfair to Mccain & Palin.
What I mean is that they split hairs about the wardrobe & beauty parlor bill for Palin, but treated with condescension and even amusement millions that Obama squandered pandering to his audience...
Mccain was castigated for using figures of speech that a chipped shoulder retard undergoing intensive psychotherapy might mistake for insensitive remarks about slavery, but media only mentioned in passing Obama's statement about being a muslim...nappy hair covered in sweat, tired face...come on, cut poor Leroy some slack...he's tired...right now he doesn't know what he's talking about, but he knew until now & will from now on.
Palin's past involvement with an Alaskan independence party has been exposed and castigated, while Obama's Muslim education in a Muslim country is just part of what makes him a wonderful, rounded-up, awesome and open-minded individual to make us dream (so preaches a Jewish AAA+ analyst on TV right now ).
He's a Quaker now...we all deserve a second chance...Fujimori was billed Roman Catholic...

I think the unwashed must be really desperate.
Now I look forward to Obama's next speech against the Muslim threat and about 'certain countries professing certain wrong ideals'...
