well, John Bear published a 'phone book' guide that was not that bad in the era before the internet, or when internet was in its infancy. He also published lists of degree mills under the thin veneer of criticising them, but probably acting as a 'referrer' on behalf of his competitors from the good old days when he had masterminded a few mills of his own.

The problem i see is with all the hypocrites and the unwashed sipping tea with him while discussing in absolute moral terms what others do and looking up to him as an authority in ethics.

Good description of the "Lord of the Dance." He does what he wants. Takes whatever position best fits the economics of the day, and then puts himself forward as the white knight riding in to save us from people just like himself. The crowd around him know him for what he really is, a fraud, but they pretend to believe the false image he projects in order to prop up their own shaky little games of attack and trashing. If Kennedy Western and the like were good enough for the old man to call "good" schools then (for money). They were good enough to earn degrees from and to claim now. As I see it you don't get to rewrite your history at the expense of others, and this is exactly what he does and what they (DI) loudly support.

Yes, Bear did endorse Kennedy-Western in his book. Then, after Joe Liebershit and the other assholes did their hatchet job he turned around and blasted it as a diploma mill. Now he and his fellow accreditation Nazis, Contraras, Gollin et all are engaged in stalking and outing those who have degrees from supposed mills.
And lets not forget Bear's own little diploma mill he started.
According to Lord Bear all unaccredited schools are mills or little better. So, what does that make all the unaccredited schools Bear was involved with? Well, if we listen to Bear all the schools were good as long as his hand was in the till, but as soon as he moved on they seemed to turn much worse. True? of course not. None were great schools but they were legal and adequate to the times and the purpose, before, during, and after Bear. John simply tries to distance himself from what he now sees as, shall we say, not so lovely for the image he is trying to put forward.

How Kennedy Western got on their manure pile, I don't know, but it was just another unaccredited school. I guess it just got caught in the firing line or maybe it got too big, made too much money, and they wanted to break it, and so they did.

Do you think that Bear will refund the tuition that students paid to go to Kennedy Western based on his advice? It only seems fair since he later went on to say he made a mistake.

No, Bear would eat a can of worms before he would offer any refunds based on his previous statements. He seems to be saying he's right no matter what he says or when he said it.
MIGS- Now here we have a perfect example of his double talk. It was good as long as MIGS would benefit Rich D. and seemed to be offering Bear some level of income. But where do we see the apology for his statements that caused people to get involved with MIGS and other such Bear efforts? He hangs you out to dry and then blames you for listening to the so called expert.
There is a story about a man who sold tapeworms as a way of losing weight. In a few months he would come back and sell you a cure for tapeworms. As I recall he got tar dumped on him and run out of town on a rail. A journey fit for the good Bear. Splinters and all.
